Luis is a Peruvian artisan who began learning macrame, as is common in Andean culture, from his grandfather. He took to it, and started making bracelets and selling them at school and to his friends. His mother noticed his gift, and to give him something productive to do, set him up with a artisan in their neighborhood to learn more. Luis started travelling throughout south America and selling his work in tourist spots in his 20s. Before long, it became his full time job.

Luis has mastered the traditional Andean styles in macrame, leather, and metal. Although he still makes those pieces, his style is ever changing as incorporates new techniques and trends. He has a fascination for gemstones, and his one of a kind pieces are definitely inspired by the personalities of the beautiful stones he uses.
